What an Imagination!

As I type this Mariah is in the kitchen playing. She has taken a disposable rubber glove, poked holes in the fingers, filled it with water, and attached it to the faucet. She is pretending to milk a cow! Who needs toys when you have an imagination :)

For the third time in a row Mariah's basketball game has been canceled due to weather. We got rain that quickly froze to everything as the temps plummeted today from the 40's to the teens, then sleet and now snow. The winds have picked up making it very cold and slick out. It is supposed to stay very windy all night and get to -2. Hopefully the power stays on....we have already had some flickering lights.

Josh and Ethan had a whirlwind trip to St. Paul Friday-Sunday for a costume party up there. Travel was bad on Friday afternoon/night with Josh only able to drive 45 for about 3 of the 6 hour trip. Josh got to experience a little of what it is like to be a parent when Ethan and the other guy with them wanted to go to Mall of America at 2 in the afternoon on Sunday. It's a 6 hour drive home and Josh said they didn't have time and should have done that in the morning and no way was he going to take them there at that time of the afternoon!

Mariah did a cute skit last week in a talent show at school with four friends. It was "Pillow People" dancing to the song, Numa Numa, which has kind of become popular with kids right now. It started off as just Mariah and another girl, but before long it was five! Suddenly I had five costumes to finish in two days and rehearsals to fit in between basketball practices. That's about it for now. Thankfully things have been kind of quiet around here. Quiet is good!
